BLS Transportation
Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance service refers to medical services provided by trained personnel using basic equipment and techniques to sustain life and stabilize patients before transporting them to a hospital or medical facility. BLS ambulances are equipped with oxygen, automatic external defibrillators (AEDs), basic airway management tools, and other equipment necessary to treat patients with medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and injury. The personnel providing BLS ambulance services include Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who are trained to assess and treat patients, provide life-saving interventions, and transport patients safely to a medical facility.
Long Distance
This service refers to the medical transport of patients over a long distance, usually over a hundred miles, to a medical facility, treatment center, or home. This type of transportation is often needed when patients require medical care that is not available in their local area or when they need to be transferred to a facility that specializes in their specific medical condition. Long-distance medical transportation is provided via ambulance. The vehicles used for long-distance medical transportation are equipped with the necessary medical equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and comfortable ride for the patient. The personnel providing the transportation are trained in basic life support and emergency medical care and are equipped to provide medical support and treatment during transport. Hemodialysis
Dialysis medical transportation service refers to the medical transport of patients who require regular dialysis treatments to remove waste, salt, and excess fluid from the blood. Dialysis patients typically need to receive these treatments three times a week and may not be able to travel to and from their appointments without assistance. Dialysis medical transportation services provide patients with safe and efficient transport to and from their dialysis appointments. Behavioral Health
PRN is one of a few psych transportation options in Georgia. Employees receive special training on the medical skills and the sensitivity to safely and respectfully treat and transport behavioral health patients, including verbal deescalation training.
Adjustments to our vehicles and equipment for safety include: Buckle Guard technology on stretchers ensures only the EMT or paramedic with the key can unlock the strap buckles; converted handles on the back doors to latches at the top to reduce the risk of a patient opening doors without permission; and real-time closed loop video monitoring so driver can view the patient and partner en route.
